چکیده

The determination of the spatial extent of geo-objects is generally approached through the boundaries or more precisely through the position of the boundary points. The analysis of the geometric uncertainty of the objects is therefore often based on accuracy models for the coordinates of these points. The accuracy evaluation in land surveying and photogrammetry generally refers to the mapping of crisp objects. In many other survey disciplines objects are mapped that are not crisp, in that case the geometric uncertainty is not only a matter of coordinate accuracy, but also a problem of object definition and thematic vagueness. It can not be handled by only a geometric approach such as epsilon band method. This paper proposes an approach to map the spatial extent of the objects and their uncertainties when objects are measured from field observation data. The effects of the uncertainties on geometric change detection are investigated. Several measures for fuzzy change detection are presented to evaluate the change processes of the objects, through a practical example of dynamics of sediments along Dutch coast.

مدل‌سازی روابط توپولوژیک سه بعدی فازی در محیط GIS

Nowadays, geospatial information systems (GIS) are widely used to solve different spatial problems based on various types of fundamental data: spatial, temporal, attribute and topological relations. Topological relations are the most important part of GIS which distinguish it from the other kinds of information technologies. One of the important mechanisms for representing topological relations...

Two New Methods of Boundary Correction for Classifying Textural Images

With the growth of technology, supervising systems are increasingly replacing humans in military, transportation, medical, spatial, and other industries. Among these systems are machine vision systems which are based on image processing and analysis. One of the important tasks of image processing is classification of images into desirable categories for the identification of objects or their sp...

Developing a Model Based on Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference Systems (ANFIS) for Providing the Spatial Distribution Map of Landslide Risk. Case Study: Alborz Province

Landslide is one of these natural hazards which causes a great amount of financial and human damage annually allover the world. Accordingly, identification of areas with landslide threat for implementation of preventive measures in order to confront against the instability of hillsides for reduction of potential threats and related risks is very important. In this research a new method for clas...

Formalizing fuzzy objects from uncertain classification results

Concepts of fuzzy objects have been put forward by various authors (Burrough and Frank 1996) to represent objects with indeterminate boundaries. In most of these proposals the uncertainties in thematic aspects and the geometric aspects are treated separately. Furthermore little attention is paid to methods for object identiŽ cation, whereas it is generally in this stage that the uncertainty asp...

جانمایی ایستگاه های سنجش کیفیت هوای شهر مشهد با استفاده از تکنیک های تصمیم‌گیری چند معیاره

Background and Objective: Optimum number of air quality monitoring stations in Mashhad is an essential task for management of the urban environment. However, real monitoring and accurate information on the status of air quality require proper spatial distribution of air quality monitoring stations in the city of Mashhad. The aim of the present study was to determine optimum site locations for a...
